What I expect

As I pour over the SF writer and The Word is a text in the context of what to expect to get from this class I can only shake my head. The books seem to be a long list of a variety of rules. I read many things in English exclusively and there seems to no real unifying theme to the written language anymore. It seems to me that there is a wild difference between what kind of writing you need or can use. Everyone has some sort of rules and they all differ just enough for someone to have issue with it. I hope to learn all the rules and never make a mistake with a rather complex language. I then can use it to change the world. Then I will stop using sarcasm. Honestly I think, as a student who has been in school for 20 years, my English with the aid of Word is sufficient for any endeavor I need, provided the minor imperfections are overlooked. I will gather the credit needed and continue to attempt to use my writing to the best of my abilities for what I need of it, from situation to situation. Of course, if I can gather any insight to improve my writing I will try to remember it longer then some other lessons I have learned in my time. I will continue to put my faith in common sense and my academic abilities and gather what I can as I pass this required course. Once again, it is more important to get that credit and the paper then it is to actually learn anything. I however already did learn another way to set up a blog, which should allow me to bore more people with my tales of taking up space.

I agree with you on the fact that the SF writer does have so many rules it scares me. And this is also my first time using a blog and I think I am getting the hang of it.
